Dhampyre – “A mythological creature that is the hybrid offspring of vampire & human. Originating from Balkan folklore, they possess supernatural strength or grace, & are often known for hunting vampires.”
Dhampyres bring their modern take on Gothic Rock in all its face painted, dark, gothic glory to alternative audiences around the UK & their pale expressionless eyes are set on the shores of faraway lands!
Since the release of their first album “Lore of the Dhampyre” in 2023 they have been making waves in the underground goth scene. Their second album “Chateau Macabre, released at the end of 2025 takes this a step further, receiving rave reviews by fans & media alike.
Based in the medieval town of Tewkesbury, the 5-piece band bring a theatrical stage performance along to their shows with a blend of melodic hard rock & gothic themes. With obvious references being made between their ghoulish appearance & bands like Ghost, the music is harder & darker in tone.
On their latest album, the first single & music video “Revenant” hits hard with crunching rhythms and intricate solos. Other tracks such as “Jezabelle lost in the forest” suggest influences a varied as The Damned, through “Black velvet dress” hinting at heavier bands like Paradise lost, then to recollections of The Mission in “Cruel Mistress” & “Genevieve in the moonlight”, finally resting on “Fall of the 12 Apostles” with its feeling of a cut back, more savage “Lords of the lost “.
2025 has brought significant exposure for the Dhampyres, including headlining outdoor festivals, opening the Hard Rock Hell Awards Ceremony, a successful foray north of the wall (Hadrian’s wall) & a joint mini-tour with electro industrialists Fleisch. It also brought with it a new member, bassist Mark “Dark” Wood who joined guitarist Tommi Death in filling out the ranks of the Dhampyres, alongside the original members of drummer Paul Boston-Daniel, Lead Guitarist Samael Immortal & singer (& founding member) Al Hale.
2026 is already set to notch the rise of this up-and-coming band into yet another gear, with appearances already booked at Breaking Bands festival, Another awards ceremony appearance, support on US band The Awakening’s UK tour & also early goth pioneers Nosferatu’s 2026 tour.
